On December 7 Saratov hosted the finals of the Club of the Funny and Witty (KVN, Klub Veselykh i Nakhodchivykh).

The KVN games were organized in Gazprom Transgaz Saratov on the initiative of Director General Leonid Chernoshchyokov and have been held with the support of the United Trade Union and the Nashe Delo (Our Affair) Youth Association for the second year in a row. The KVN–2013 games were dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Gazprom and the Year of Youth in the Gazprom Interregional Trade Union.
All in all, over 100 young specialists from Gazprom Transgaz Saratov took part in the 2013 games. Six teams from the company’s branches contended for Kivin in Gold, the grand prize of the game on the stage of Niva health resort: Chyotkiye Kadry (Administration), Hollywood (Engineering Center), Algaiskiye Pertsy (Alexandrov Gai Line Pipe Operation Center), Ugarny Gaz (Emergency Response and Recovery Directorate), Citrus (Privolzhye Line Pipe Operation Center), Bashmaki Transgaz (Bashmakovo Line Pipe Operation center). Around 300 people in the audience watched and rooted for their teams.
The hard competition challenges of KVN allowed the participants to unlock all their creative abilities: jokes, songs and dances were the main arsenal of the contestants at that festival of humor. As a result of the keenest fight, the jury awarded the first prize of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov’s Club of the Funny and Witty, season 2013, to the Chyotkiye Kadry team (Administration).

Background
Gazprom Transgaz Saratov is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, securing gas supply to the consumers in the Saratov, Tambov and Penza Regions as well as natural gas transit to the FSU countries and beyond. Over seven thousand kilometers of gas trunklines are being operated within the company’s activity region. The annual volume of gas transported by the company exceeds 100 billion cubic meters. Gazprom Transgaz Saratov comprises 22 branches, including 11 line pipe operation centers, 29 compressor workshops, 169 gas pumping units, a comprehensive gas treatment unit, 215 gas distribution stations, 6 CNG filling stations. The ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system is introduced at the company which employs some 6 thousand people.
