The competitions were held in T1 class comprising 4×4 four-wheeled off-road vehicles produced in Russia and having the engine size of up to 3,000 cubic centimeters as well as in A-1600 class made up of front-drive cars with the engine size of up to 1,600 cubic centimeters.
Taking part in the competitions were 27 teams from Omsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Surgut, Nefteyugansk, Novy Urengoy, Nadym and Pangody settlement.
In the T1 class all the winning places were taken by Gazprom Dobycha Nadym branches. Following the competition results, Valery Zhuravlev from Nadym won the Gazprom Dobycha Nadym Cup, the second and the third places were distributed between Dmitry Shulakov and Vladimir Novozhilov, both from Pangody. Alexander Dorofeyev from Pangody became the winner of the super ride.
16 year old Alexander Savchenko from Novy Urengoy was the youngest participant of the competitions.
Background
Being a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, Gazprom Dobycha Nadym is primarily focused on gas and gas condensate production and treatment.
The company was established on December 1, 1971. The first gas production company in the northern region of Western Siberia, it was designed to develop and operate the Medvezhye oil, gas and condensate field. Nowadays, Gazprom Dobycha Nadym also develops the Yubileynoye and Yamsoveyskoye fields. In 2012 the company commissioned the Bovanenkovskoe field, the largest one in the Yamal Peninsula. The company holds the subsurface use license for the Kharasaveyskoye gas and condensate field which is currently at the pre-development stage.
