Young professional from Gazprom VNIIGAZ wins Engineer of the Year Award 2011

The jury of the 12th National Contest “Engineer of the Year” rewarded Stanislav Golubin with the First Round Diploma – Young Engineer of the Oil and Gas Industry. Stanislav Golubin is Chief Specialist from the Gazprom VNIIGAZ Laboratory for Regulatory and Engineering Support of Linear and Spatial Facilities Design and Construction at Oil and Gas Trunklines and Flowlines.
On the February 13, 2012 the award-giving ceremony took place in the Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations’ Engineering Hall of Fame.
The award was won for research and engineering support of the Unified Gas Supply System facilities design, construction and operation in harsh climate conditions, including permafrost.
Background
Gazprom VNIIGAZ, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, represents the Company’s research center elaborating and designing technologies for the gas industry including those for gas fields exploration and development, offshore petroleum resources recovery, gas treatment and processing, regulatory support, design and operation of the gas transmission and underground storage system, mathematic modeling and information technologies, natural gas use as a motor fuel, environmental safety, energy efficiency and labor protection.
The annual National Contest “Engineer of the Year” is acknowledged and recognized by the national engineering community and actively supported by heads of the Russian regions and the Russian Federation Government. The contest significantly contributes to revealing the country’s best engineers, popularizing the engineering, promoting feats and experience, drawing the state authorities’ attention to the challenges faced by the Russian engineering.
