Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar signed Agreements of Cooperation in Education, Science and Technology with Kuban State University of Technology, Don State Technical University and Krasnodar College of Electronic Instrument.
Relationships with these universities are based on the concept of interaction between Gazprom and its subsidiaries with state-run institutions of higher and intermediate professional education. The said cooperation is primarily aimed at establishing and strengthening relations in the educational and sci-tech areas. The Agreements are effective for three years.
As part of the cooperation, the following career events are due to take place in 2013: open days, job fairs, the Day of Gazprom, the selection of students for further employment, the competition for scholarships, the internship followed by job placement.
According to Andrey Vetoshkin, Deputy Director General for Human Resources, the cooperation with educational institutions makes it possible to improve the target-oriented training of students in key gas jobs. The Universities, relying on the feedback from companies can promptly adapt programs to meet the needs and demands of the industry. Together we can make the career guidance process more efficient and attract best students to Gazprom as early as today.
Background
Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company integrates 17 branch companies in a single technological, organizational and financial system.
Its production facilities are located in the Krasnodar Territory, the Rostov Region and the Republic of Adygea.
The company operates a gas trunkline system exceeding 8,000 kilometers in length, including over 300 gas distribution and 9 compressor stations, as well as 24 CNG filling stations. More than 7,000 people are employed by Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar.
Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar has long-standing traditions of cooperation with state-run institutions of higher vocational education, such as Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas and Kuban State University of Technology. The company annually employs more than 30 graduates of Russian universities and actively interacts with universities in the target-oriented training and career guidance areas.
