Gazprom Tsentrremont awarded at V All-Russian Blood Service Forum for participating in donor movement

On December 17, 2012 as part of the V All-Russian Blood Service Forum Gazprom Tsentrremont was awarded for participating in the Russian donor movement.
The main objective of the V All-Russian Blood Service Forum was to sum up the results of the 2008–2012 program aimed at promoting blood and its components donation.
The Forum brought together about 300 participants of the donorship social institute: representatives of the Russian Ministry of Healthcare, the Federal Medical-Biological Agency, representatives of business and non-commercial organizations, journalists and donors.
Addressing the Forum delegates, Russian Minister of Healthcare Veronika Skvortsova noted that the Blood Service mission was to save lives. With this in view, the Blood Service experts together with non-governmental organizations and health workers from other disciplines have been successfully arranging blood and its components donation, as well as blood components and products manufacturing, transportation, storage and application for many years.
Oleg Salagai, Spokesman for the Russian Federation Healthcare Minister reported on five-year public communications activities aimed at engaging new donors and gave the statistics on Russian population awareness of the promotion program for blood and its components donation.
According to Vladimir Uyba, Head of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency the vital task of the Blood Service is to bring donorship programs back to the federal level. Companies and organizations, which run blood donation campaigns among their employees are making a great contribution to it.
As part of the Forum, awards were given to representatives of companies, establishments and organizations actively engaged in the donorship movement. Gazprom Tsentrremont, a maintenance holding company was among the awardees; on November 30 some 250 of its employees from different regions of Russia had taken part in the Sixth Corporate Donor Day. Natalia Burdina, Deputy Head of Public Relations Service of Gazprom Tsentrremont was awarded a medal For the Promotion of Donorship Movement.
Background
Gazprom Tsentrremont is Gazprom’s wholly-owned subsidiary responsible for maintenance support and full-scale repair of Gazprom’s facilities.
Since 2010 donorship has been a part of Gazprom Tsentrremont’s corporate culture. During the two years of supporting the state-run program for donorship promotion in Russia, more than 860 concerned employees of Gazprom Tsentrremont donated some 400 liters of blood as part of six corporate campaigns.
