On December 8 (Saturday) Samara hosted the 2012 Championship of Russia. Gazprom Transgaz Samara acted as the principal sponsor of the competition – the triathlon game that was run as a round robin tournament.

Vladislav Osminin became the 2012 Overall Champion of Russia. Talking about his “winning formula”, he said that “if you want to be on top, you have to enjoy the game and concentrate hard on each shot like it is the last one.”
Background
Gazprom Transgaz Samara is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom dealing with natural gas transmission via gas trunklines to six Russian regions: the Samara, Ulyanovsk, Orenburg, Penza, Saratov Regions and the Republic of Mordovia. The company operates over 4,000 kilometers of gas trunklines and conveys some 15 per cent of natural gas produced by Gazprom.
