Between April 5 and 8 the Ice Arena of Rostoshi settlement (Orenburg) hosted the All-Russian Ice Hockey Tournament for the prizes of Anatoly Zibarev – Hero of Socialist Labor, veteran of the gas industry. The tournament was arranged by Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg as part of the Gazprom for Children program.
Taking part in the games were more than 100 children born in 2000 and representing 6 teams from Yekaterinburg, Orenburg, Perm, Samara, Ufa and Novosergievka regional center in the Orenburg Oblast.
The 2011 winners – the children’s and youth sports school of the Yubileyny sports center (Orenburg) – this year conceded the championship to Salavat Yulayev ice hockey team (Ufa) and won the silver medals; the bronze medals were taken by the hockey players of CSK VVS ( Samara).
Invited to the tournament as a guest, the legendary hockey player, two-time Olympic Champion Alexander Kozhevnikov gave a high evaluation to the Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg efforts on promoting children’s hockey.

The Ice Hockey Tournament for the Prizes of Anatoly Zibarev was established by Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg in 2006. Four teams took part in it. Having earned the status of a traditional All-Russian event, the tournament expanded its geographic reach and spread to the entire country.
