Construction of a swimming pool in the Ryzdvyany settlement (Stavropol Krai) has been finished. The swimming pool opening ceremony was dedicated to the 55th anniversary of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol. Taking part in the ceremony were Valery Gaevsky, Governor of the Stavropol Krai, Alexey Zavgorodnev, Director General of the company, heads of ministries and authorities of the Stavropol Krai. The opening day was marked by exhibition performances of the best sportsmen from Southern of Russia and swimming contests among the Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol employees.
The total area of the new building constructed and equipped at the expense of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol exceeds 4,000 square meters. It has everything for sports activities and leisure. The three-storey building is fully equipped to meet disabled visitors, it has ramps and a lift.
Background
Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company maintains the line pipes passing through 10 Russian constituents and conveying some 70 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The gas pipelines length exceeds 7,900 kilometers. As part of the Gazprom for Children program, the company has built and reconstructed 37 various sports facilities.
The Ryzdvyany settlement is a capital city of the gas industry in the North Caucasus Federal Okrug. The settlement has the largest production facilities of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol and the Stavropol UGS facility, a production and training center of the Stavropol Line Pipe Operation Center (Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol). Thousands of gasmen and their relatives as well as veterans of the industry live here.
