The 4th Russian national youth games in martial arts took place in Anapa. More than 5,000 participants representing 29 types of martial arts and combat sports from 60 regions of the country fought for a title of the best.
A sports team of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol Shotokan Club was one of the contest leaders in Shotokan Karate-Do according to the overall team ranking. Team fighters won one gold, three silver and one bronze medals in combats (kumite) and 2 awards – gold and bronze in a complex of exercises. Moreover, karate sportsmen competed in one more martial arts type – shito ryu, where they won one gold and two bronze medals.

The Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol Shotokan Club was established in 1998. Viktor Mashchenko, Senior Coach of the Russian national Shotokan Karate-Do team is a constant leader of the club.
