Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar awards winners of children’s painting contest

On November 16, Krasnodar’s Felitsyn State Historical and Reserve Museum hosted the awarding ceremony for winners of the First children’s painting contest “Dreams Will Come True or Gazprom from Children’s Point of View” organized by Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar. Twelve young artists were given commemorative diplomas and valuable gifts. Later on Tatyana Betekhtina, the well-known Krasnodar artist, organized a decorative drawing master class for children.

Taking part in the contest were over 200 pupils from children’s art schools located in the Kanevskoy, Slavyansky, Primorsko-Akhtarsky Districts of the Krasnodar Krai and the Petrovsky District of the Stavropol Krai. The children drew some production facilities of Gazprom, portraits of their gasmen-friends and were dreaming about gas production on Mars. The contest was organized to support gifted children, to develop their artistic abilities, to learn about the history and current activities of Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar in the South of Russia.

“This project was implemented as part of the Gazprom for Children program. With the great pleasure the children took part in it, painting their striking world of the gas industry. I am sure that children’s painting contest will become the annually event to support the children’s creative work,” said Mikhail Geikhman.

An exhibition of the best paintings created by young artists was opened as part of the awarding ceremony. The exposition is opened for free visiting and will last till November 27, 2011.
