Between May 11 and 13 Gazprom transgaz Saratov hosted the Best Worker vocational skills competition in nine jobs. A total of 100 workers from 15 branch companies took part in the competition.
In his welcoming address to the competitors Alexander Burdavitsyn, Deputy Director General of Gazprom transgaz Saratov said: “Improving the working skills of the company’s employees is a key objective of our management. This objective will be met through the vocational skills competition with its long-lasting traditions. Today its participants will prove their high level of readiness and competence”.
The competition includes performance of practical tasks at special sites and checkup of theoretical knowledge in a testing form. The knowledge program consisted of job-specific questions and questions related to labor protection and first-aid treatment.
The winners received diplomas and money rewards. The winner of each nomination will represent Gazprom transgaz Saratov at the Gazprom vocational skills competition.

Gazprom transgaz Saratov is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. Its core business activities are natural gas transmission via gas trunklines, gas supplies to consumers via gas distribution stations; development and operation of gas transmission systems; creation of a CNG filling stations network. Gazprom transgaz Saratov holds the Best Worker vocational skills competition on a biennial basis. The competition is primarily aimed at improving the image of blue-collar jobs, boosting the professional advancement among the company’s workers and dissemination of state-of-the-art labor methods and techniques.
