Adler hosted the IPA European open men’s and women’s power lifting and bench press championship.
600 foreign and Russian sportsmen competed for the title of the strongest.
Sportsmen of Gazprom transgaz Stavropol won four gold medals. Sergey Zaitsev in a weight category below 90 kilograms lifted a 200 kilogram barbell having set a new European record in bench press. A 64 year-old weight lifter Dmitry Gostishef managed to lift 150 kilograms in a weight category below 110 kilograms. Alexander Zaitsev topped the individual and overall power lifting rank in a weight category below 110 kilograms.
Gazprom transgaz Stavropol pays great attention to endurance sports. During the meeting with sportsmen Alexey Zavgorodnev, Director General of the company noted that, “Dozens of endurance and other sports competitions annually held in the company promote a healthy lifestyle, strengthen gasmen spiritually and increase their endurance at the same time enhance team building and serve as a good example for the younger generation.”

Gazprom transgaz Stavropol is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company runs the line pipes crossing 10 Russian constituents and conveying some 70 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The gas pipelines length exceeds 7,900 kilometers. The company runs 327 gas distribution stations. The gas transmission system is underpinned by 12 compressor stations. 13 CNG filling stations are operated successfully. The company comprises 19 branches.
