Gazprom transgaz Stavropol finished repairing memorials and monuments to the soldiers killed during the Great Patriotic War. A total of 104 monuments are under trusteeship of the company, comprising large memorial complexes in cities of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Okrugs; communal graves; obelisks; graves of unknown soldiers in villages and farm yards. The repair operations involved restoration of the monuments cover, inscriptions renewal, landscaping of the adjacent areas.
The gasmen traditionally congratulate veterans at home on the eve of the holiday. The company gave presents to 45 veterans and 125 homefront workers of the Great Patriotic War. The ex-servicemen and homefront workers receive veterans’ pension supplement every month, use their right to allowances and undertake health resort treatment. Household commissions under the trade union committees in all braches of the company render assistance in medical treatment and diagnostic workup as well as in repair work.
