Gazprom dobycha Astrakhan hosted a Victory Day gala concert by the Reviving Traditions movement and became another gift of gasmen to the Great Patriotic War veterans.
8 teams of the Victoria cultural center under Gazprom dobycha Astrakhan took part in the festive program. The performances shown by the gala concert guests made the day. Among the guest were representatives of Gazprom dobycha Orenburg, Gazprom transgaz Ufa and Gazprom transgaz Nizhny Novgorod as well as the Dobro folk song theater artists from Samara and professional artistic teams from Astrakhan.
This year the Reviving Traditions movement joined the Multinational Astrakhan international ethno-social project of the Astrakhan Oblast Ministry of Culture. Between April and May hundreds of Astrakhanians and the Oblast residents became spectators and participants of the concerts as part of this innovative project.
Background
Gazprom dobycha Astrakhan is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom focused on gas and gas condensate extraction, their processing into marketable products.
The Reviving Traditions movement that came to life at Gazprom dobycha Astrakhan in April 2007 is intended to generate interest of the contemporaries in the original art of the peoples of Russia. Between 2007 and 2008 over 40 socio-cultural events in various forms were arranged within the project: from games and recitals to master classes and workshops covering various categories of spectators: children from boarding and secondary schools, specialized secondary educational establishments and higher educational institutions, employees of Gazprom dobycha Astrakhan, veterans of war and labor, pensioners, etc.
