Between March 18 and 23 Novy Urengoy hosted the eighth International Theatre Festival Hello Ya-Mal! sponsored by Gazprom dobycha Urengoy. 13 performances were staged by theatre companies from Tyumen, Khanty-Mansiysk, Ulyanovsk, Moscow, Kyoto (Japan) and Bologna (Italy).

Fairy tale goes onstage

The festival was opened by the out-of-competition performances of theatre studios from Novy Urengoy including 7 performances by pre-school institutions.

The performances were marked by theater critics, kids jury and grannies jury.

Kids are main theatre experts

The performances were followed by press conferences, amateur concert parties, master classes, exhibitions, creative meetings and round table discussions.

Evdokia Germanova, Honored Artist of Russia, participated in the project themed “Celebrity Reads a Fairy Tale”.

At the end of the event Evgeny Savichev, Deputy Director of the Gazodobytchik sports and culture center noted that, “The festival gains popularity every year, more and more people want to visit Hello Ya-Mal! as spectators and participants”.
