Nature is properly secured

Gazprom dobycha Urengoy summed up the results of the annual environmental program dedicated to the vocational holiday – the Day of Ecologist held between April 27 and June 5.

The company is implementing a set of environmental measures as part of Gazprom’s environmental policy and Gazprom dobycha Urengoy’s environmental declaration. Among the measures are those prescribed by the environmental program introduced in 2007 to foster eco-culture in growing generations.

This year, employees from Gazprom dobycha Urengoy organized visits to the company’s labor glory museum for students of higher and vocational education institutions of Novy Urengoy. The young people were told about the geological structure of subsurface resources, the history of the Urengoy field development and environmental solutions of the company.

The project participants visited gas condensate production facility No.22 and compressor stations for low-pressure associated petroleum gas utilization and saw the practical implementation of main principles of the environmental program.

Nature is our Home creative contest exhibition

The program included a creative contest entitled Nature is Our Home. Taking part in the contest were pupils from kindergartens, school and university students. They presented their pictures, articles made by hand of natural materials, photos, reports, research works and papers. The best items were exhibited at the Gazodobytchik culture and sports center. The winners of the contest received souvenirs and diplomas.

The program initiators are convinced that such events will help attract the public attention to environmental problems. The increasing number of the project participants indicates that the program works. It means that more people become interested in the environmental issues.
