On December 27 the Rodnichok sports and health center hosted a charitable New Year event, Welcome to Fairytale, for orphaned and disabled children as well as for children from correctional schools. The event was organized by Gazprom Transgaz Saratov as part of the Gazprom Transgaz Saratov – Territory of Kindness social project.
About 200 children from Saratov’s orphan homes, special correctional schools for partially sighted and hard of hearing children from the Doveriye orphan home, pupils from a secondary school of the Storozhevka settlement, children from low-income families of the Stepnoye settlement and children with cerebral palsy.

The event was accompanied with the Saratov Youth Theater artists’ performance, animated show, contests and quizzes. The performance by children from orphan homes and correctional schools was the most exciting moment of the event. The company’s representatives gave New Year presents to young guests.

Charitable action on delivery of Christmas gifts to children from socially disadvantaged families and orphans were held in all regions of the presence of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov.

In 2011 the total number of children from vulnerable social groups who participated in the above mentioned events equaled 3,000.
