Between April 20 and 22 Gazprom transgaz Saratov hosted the 5th Conference among young researchers, professionals and students. Participating in the Conference were young experts from 9 subsidiaries of Gazprom.
The participants’ reports were primarily focused on the crucial issues of energy saving and information technologies application in the gas transmission sector, enhancement of gas transmission equipment reliability and safety, environmental protection and wider use of natural gas as a motor fuel.
When evaluating the competitors, the jury took into account the scientific and practical value, applicability, potential feasibility and novelty of the competitors’ research papers as well as adherence of their presentations to Gazprom’s corporate identity standards.
Background
The 1st Gazprom transgaz Saratov Conference among young researchers, professionals and students took place in 2003. This year the Conference has been attended by representatives from other subsidiaries of Gazprom for the first time ever. In addition to industry-specific issues, young professionals focused on social aspects such as the Current Trends and Technologies as Exemplified by Establishing Gazprom Transgaz Saratov Corporate Museum, Motivating Efforts of Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod Council of Young Professionals and Employees.
Gazprom transgaz Saratov is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. Its core business activities are natural gas transmission via gas trunklines, gas supplies to consumers via gas distribution stations; development and operation of gas transmission systems; creation of a CNG filling stations network.
Gazprom transgaz Saratov conveys gas from the fields of Siberia, Turkmenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Orenburg to central Russia, North Caucasus, Ukraine and Europe.
