Karate tournament
The Ryzdvyany settlement (Stavropol Krai) – southern Russia’s gas capital hosted the 16th Shotokan Karate-Do open tournament for Gazprom transgaz Stavropol Awards. Taking part in the tournament were more than 200 best sportsmen from the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Okrugs.
Fighters of the Gazprom transgaz Stavropol – Shotokan sports club were the best in team placing. They won 11 medals including 6 gold ones.
The tournament for Gazprom transgaz Stavropol Awards traditionally takes place two times a year. The tournament is aimed at establishing contacts among sportsmen from various regions, promoting Karate as well as demonstrating the advantages of this kind of sports and a high level of the fighters’ skills.
