Gazprom is a backbone business enterprise of the Russian economy and a universally acknowledged global leader in natural gas production, transmission and processing. It steadily retains the leading positions in capital authorization, cost effectiveness and overall economic potential. It is impossible to overestimate the contribution Gazprom makes to the social development of our country. Being a major source of the budget financial inflow, yet at the same time, Gazprom uses its own resources for a wide range of programs in ecology, research and innovation as well as social assistance to various population groups. A Company which makes such a major contribution to the country’s economy and executes such large-scale and versatile social projects may justly be referred to as the Russian national treasure.
