The Board of Directors resolved to hold the annual General Shareholders Meeting of Gazprom on June 30, 2016 in Moscow.

  • the long-term Agreement between Gazprom and Trubodetal on batch production, supply, maintenance, and repair of special ball valves;
  • the Agreements between Gazprom and the Russian pipe companies on price formulas for large-diameter pipes;
  • the Agreement between Gazprom and YPFB on strategic cooperation;
  • the Memorandum of Understanding between Gazprom and the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy of Bolivia to promote the use of liquefied natural gas;
  • the Agreement among Gazprom EP International Services B.V., YPFB, and the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy of Bolivia on updating the General Scheme for the Bolivian gas industry development until 2040;

Gazprom started year-round oil shipments from the Novoportovskoye field via the Arctic Gate oil loading terminal.

Gazprom held the annual General Shareholders Meeting. The Company's Board of Directors was elected as follows: Andrey Akimov, Timur Kulibaev, Vitaly Markelov, Viktor Martynov, Vladimir Mau, Alexey Miller, Alexander Novak, Dmitry Patrushev, Mikhail Sereda, Alexey Ulyukaev, and Viktor Zubkov.

Viktor Zubkov was named as Chairman of the Gazprom Board of Directors and Alexey Miller as Deputy Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors.

Two new power units – STU-660 at the Troitsk SDPP and STU-330 at the Novocherkassk SDPP – were put into operation.

The Board of Directors approved the new Program for the disposal of non-core assets for the period from the second half of 2016 through the first half of 2019 and the updated Gazprom Innovative Development Program.

The Management Committee approved the 2016–2020 Comprehensive Program for the reconstruction and re-equipment of gas and liquid hydrocarbon processing facilities.

Gazprom started to supply gas to Chernyakhovsk in the Kaliningrad Region after bringing into operation a branch of the Minsk – Vilnius – Kaunas – Kaliningrad gas trunkline and an automated gas distribution station.

The following documents were signed:

  • the Program for Gas Supply to and Gasification of the Tula Region until 2020;
  • the Program for Gas Supply to and Gasification of the Kaliningrad Region until 2020;
  • the Agreement on the wider use of natural gas as a vehicle fuel between Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo and the Government of the Tver Region.

Gazprom put in operation:

  • Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye, Russia’s northernmost active oil field;
  • Incahuasi field, one of the largest active gas and condensate fields in Bolivia (the field is developed by a consortium consisting of Total S.A. (50 per cent, project operator), Gazprom (20 per cent), Tecpetrol S.A. (20 per cent), and YPFB (10 per cent));
  • a new modern boiler house with the capacity of 180.22 Gcal/h in Tikhvin, Leningrad Region.

The new field was discovered on the Sea of Okhotsk shelf (within Kirinsky prospect, Sakhalin III project).

The first construction permit for the TurkStream pipeline's offshore section and the survey permit for two strings of this gas pipeline in Turkey’s territorial waters were received from the authorities of the Turkish Republic.

The Sports & Recreation Complex built under the Gazprom for Children Program opened in Omsk. The first stage of the Lenina Street improvement project was completed with funding from Gazprom.

The first joint of a gas pipeline branch to five towns of the Vologda Region – Kirillov, Belozersk, Lipin Bor, and Vytegra – and to Pudozh located in the Republic of Karelia was welded.

The following documents were signed:

  • the EPC contract between Gazprom and CNPC to construct a crossing under the Amur River within the cross-border section of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline;
  • the Master Agreement between Gazprom and RusGazDobycha regarding the joint project for the development of the Parusovoye, Severo-Parusovoye and Semakovskoye fields located in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area;
  • the Memorandum of Understanding between Gazprom and Mitsui to cooperate in feasibility and marketing studies with regard to the bunkering of marine vessels with liquefied natural gas in Russia's Far East and the Asia-Pacific region;
  • the Memorandum of Understanding between Gazprom and Nogaholding to cooperate in the area of liquefied natural gas;
  • the five-year Programs for Gas Supply to and Gasification of the Republic of Adygea, the Altai and Perm Territories, as well as the Belgorod, Bryansk, Vologda, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Omsk, Rostov and Smolensk Regions.

Nikita Pritykin, a software engineer of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta, won Gazprom’s Best Young Innovator Contest.

Dmitry Kirilov, representing Gazprom Transgaz Ekaterinburg, was named Gazprom’s best mechanic specializing in corrosion protection of underground pipelines.

The Gazprom Board of Directors approved the adjusted Investment Program, budget, and cost reduction program for 2016.

The Gazprom Management Committee approved the 2017–2019 Program for the construction of gas filling infrastructure at the industrial sites of Gazprom subsidiaries and the Development Program for small-scale liquefied natural gas production and use.

Gazprom commissioned 14 new CNG stations in St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Ufa, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Yaroslavl, the Voronezh, Kemerovo, Leningrad and Orenburg Regions, and the Stavropol Territory.

Bishkek’s first sports and recreation center built as part of the Gazprom for Children program was opened in Kyrgyzstan.

The following documents were signed:

  • the Agreement on the TurkStream project between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Turkish Republic;
  • the Memorandum of Understanding between Gazprom and Engineers India reflecting the interest of the parties in jointly exploring the routes for pipeline gas supplies from Russia and other countries to India;
  • the Agreement for scientific & technical cooperation and partnership between Gazprom and Schneider Electric Industries;
  • the Agreement for scientific & technical cooperation and partnership between Gazprom, OMV, Montanuniversität Leoben, and the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas;
  • the Agreement on scientific & technical cooperation and partnership between Gazprom and the Republic of Tatarstan;
  • the updated scientific & technical cooperation programs through 2020 between Gazprom, OMK, Severstal, TMK, and ChelPipe;
  • the Addendum to the Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and ENGIE in the area of personnel development;
  • the long-term contract between Gazprom and the HMS Group for the production and supply of import-substituting modular compressor units to be used at gas fields with declining production and APG utilization facilities;
  • the Memorandum of Intent between Gazprom, Stroygazconsulting, Stroygazmontazh, and StroyTransNefteGaz for establishing an Association of gas construction companies;
  • the roadmap between Gazprom and Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant for setting up the production of new-generation pipes;
  • the long-term contract between Gazprom and Salavat Catalyst Plant for the batch production and supply of import-substituting adsorbent;
  • the investment contract between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Tomsk Region, Tomsk Machine-Building Technologies, Gazprom Investproject, and Vakhrushev Tomsk Electromechanical Plant for manufacturing import-substituting products for Gazprom in the Tomsk Region.

  • the Comprehensive Targeted Program for the retrofitting, reconstruction and development of automated process control systems at Gazprom's facilities between 2017 and 2021;

  • the Memorandum to explore the opportunities for cooperation in the NGV sector between Gazprom and CNPC;
  • the Memorandum of Understanding between Gazprom and China Development Bank Corporation. The document outlines the general principles of cooperation between the parties in arranging project or any other financing;
  • the scientific and technical cooperation program for the period 2016 through 2021 between Gazprom, Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works, and TMK;
  • the scientific and technical cooperation program for the period 2016 through 2021 between Gazprom, Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works, and Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant.

Six new CNG filling stations of Gazprom were brought into service in Tatarstan.

The following documents were signed:

  • the contract between South Stream Transport B.V. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom) and Allseas Group S.A. to build the first string of the TurkStream gas pipeline’s offshore section with an option for laying the second string;
  • the Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy under Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry;
  • the Agreement of Strategic Cooperation between Gazprom and Mitsui & Co., Ltd, providing for collaboration in various areas, including Sakhalin II project expansion and LNG bunkering;
  • the Agreement of Strategic Cooperation between Gazprom and Mitsubishi Corporation, stipulating the development of cooperation in the LNG sector, including joint efforts in adding the third train to the Sakhalin II LNG plant;
  • the Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and KOGAS, providing for a broader cooperation in the field of LNG supplies from Russia to South Korea;
  • the Agreement between Gazprom, Japan's Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (Mizuho) and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), and U.S.-based JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. (J.P. Morgan) to provide a four-year EUR 800 million facility to Gazprom;
  • the Basic Agreement regarding the asset swap between Gazprom and OMV, according to which Gazprom will receive a 38.5 per cent stake in OMV Norge AS, a company focused on geological exploration and production in Norway. In exchange, OMV will obtain a 24.98 per cent stake in the project for developing Blocks 4A and 5A of the Achimov formations in the Urengoyskoye field;
  • the additional agreements between Gazprom, OMK, ChelPipe, and Severstal to adopt formula pricing for pipe fittings;
  • the Memorandum of Understanding between Gazprom and JBIC, outlining the basic principles of cooperation in securing financing for Gazprom’s projects with the involvement of Japanese companies;
  • the Memorandum of Understanding between Gazprom and NIGC, outlining potential areas of cooperation between the companies;
  • the 2017–2019 Program for scientific & technical cooperation between Gazprom and Rosatom;
  • the 2017–2019 Program for scientific & technical cooperation and partnership between Gazprom and Schneider Electric.
